L\u2019ouvrage, \u00e9rig\u00e9 sur la Route Nationale num\u00e9ro 3 (RN3), est redevenu op\u00e9rationnel depuis samedi 16 mai 2026, pr\u00e8s de deux semaines apr\u00e8s son effondrement.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Selon des sources locales, ce pont s\u2019\u00e9tait affaiss\u00e9 \u00e0 la suite de son \u00e9tat de v\u00e9tust\u00e9 avanc\u00e9e, alors qu\u2019un taximan moto tentait de le traverser avec ses passagers. L\u2019incident avait entra\u00een\u00e9 une interruption du trafic sur l\u2019axe routier Itebero\u2013Hombo, obligeant notamment les motocyclistes transportant des marchandises \u00e0 emprunter des passages de fortune pour maintenir tant bien que mal leurs activit\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une mobilisation conjointe des transporteurs, des habitants ainsi que des autorit\u00e9s locales, le pont Chabakungu a finalement \u00e9t\u00e9 reconstruit, permettant ainsi la reprise normale de la circulation.<\/p>\n<p>Pour des nombreux usagers, cette r\u00e9habilitation repr\u00e9sente un v\u00e9ritable soulagement. La RN3 constitue en effet une voie strat\u00e9gique pour le territoire de Walikale, reliant plusieurs agglom\u00e9rations du Nord-Kivu et facilitant l\u2019\u00e9vacuation des produits agricoles, l\u2019approvisionnement des march\u00e9s locaux ainsi que la mobilit\u00e9 des populations entre les zones de production et les centres commerciaux.<\/p>\n<p>La remise en service du pont Chabakungu redonne ainsi espoir aux op\u00e9rateurs \u00e9conomiques et aux habitants qui d\u00e9pendent quotidiennement de cet axe pour leurs activit\u00e9s socio-\u00e9conomiques.<\/p>\n<p>La r\u00e9daction<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La circulation a repris sur le pont Chabakungu, situ\u00e9 \u00e0 environ un kilom\u00e8tre d\u2019Itebero, chef-lieu du secteur des Bakano, dans le territoire de Walikale.
