Le pont jet\u00e9 sur la rivi\u00e8re Acodho, reliant le centre de Dgegu, en R\u00e9publique d\u00e9mocratique du Congo, \u00e0 Parombo, en Ouganda, s\u2019est effondr\u00e9 dans la nuit de dimanche \u00e0 lundi 11 mai 2026 \u00e0 la suite des fortes pluies qui se sont abattues dans cette r\u00e9gion frontali\u00e8re.<\/strong><\/p>\n

L\u2019ouvrage, situ\u00e9 pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment \u00e0 la fronti\u00e8re entre la localit\u00e9 d\u2019Umoyo War 2, relevant de la chefferie des War Palara c\u00f4t\u00e9 congolais, et le village de Thatha Est c\u00f4t\u00e9 ougandais, servait de principal passage pour les habitants, les commer\u00e7ants ainsi que les v\u00e9hicules assurant les \u00e9changes entre les deux pays.<\/p>\n

Selon le t\u00e9moignage d\u2019un habitant du village War, le pont avait \u00e9t\u00e9 construit avec trois supports. Toutefois, le pilier central aurait \u00e9t\u00e9 fragilis\u00e9 \u00e0 plusieurs reprises par les eaux de pluie au fil des ann\u00e9es.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Le support du milieu \u00e9tait souvent endommag\u00e9 par les eaux pendant les saisons pluvieuses. Aujourd\u2019hui, le pont n\u2019a pas r\u00e9sist\u00e9 \u00bb, a expliqu\u00e9 cet habitant.<\/p>\n

Depuis cet effondrement, la circulation est devenue extr\u00eamement difficile. Les v\u00e9hicules ne peuvent plus traverser normalement et plusieurs usagers restent bloqu\u00e9s de part et d\u2019autre de la fronti\u00e8re.<\/p>\n

Les habitants craignent \u00e9galement des perturbations dans les activit\u00e9s commerciales et les d\u00e9placements quotidiens entre les communaut\u00e9s riveraines de la RDC et de l\u2019Ouganda.<\/p>\n

Jusqu\u2019\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent, aucune r\u00e9action officielle n\u2019a encore \u00e9t\u00e9 enregistr\u00e9e de la part des autorit\u00e9s locales congolaises et ougandaises. Les populations attendent des interventions urgentes pour r\u00e9tablir le passage et \u00e9viter l\u2019isolement de plusieurs villages d\u00e9pendant de cet axe transfrontalier strat\u00e9gique.<\/p>\n
