Le Comit\u00e9 international de la Croix-Rouge (CICR) a fait le point sur ses interventions humanitaires au Sud-Kivu lors d\u2019un briefing organis\u00e9 \u00e0 Bukavu le 9 avril 2026 \u00e0 l\u2019intention des journalistes de la r\u00e9gion. <\/strong><\/p>\nL\u2019objectif de cette rencontre \u00e9tait de permettre aux m\u00e9dias de mieux comprendre ses activit\u00e9s et de souligner l\u2019importance de leur r\u00f4le en cette p\u00e9riode\u00a0 marqu\u00e9 par les conflits et les d\u00e9placements de population.<\/p>\n
Pr\u00e9sent dans plusieurs territoires touch\u00e9s par l\u2019ins\u00e9curit\u00e9, notamment Kalehe, Walungu, Uvira et Fizi, le CICR a concentr\u00e9 ses efforts en 2025 sur l\u2019aide aux populations affect\u00e9es par les combats, aux bless\u00e9s et aux personnes priv\u00e9es de libert\u00e9.<\/p>\n
Selon Wendy Fleury, cheffe de la sous-d\u00e9l\u00e9gation du CICR au Sud-Kivu, ces interventions ont inclus \u00ab\u202fdes distributions de biens essentiels et d\u2019aide financi\u00e8re, des appuis agricoles, la r\u00e9habilitation d\u2019infrastructures d\u2019eau ainsi que le soutien aux services de sant\u00e9\u202f\u00bb.<\/em><\/p>\n\u00ab\u202fNos r\u00e9ponses sont de deux ordres : des actions d\u2019urgence pour r\u00e9pondre aux besoins imm\u00e9diats, et un accompagnement des communaut\u00e9s pour r\u00e9tablir leurs revenus et leur autonomie\u202f<\/em>\u00bb, a pr\u00e9cis\u00e9 Mme Fleury.<\/p>\nEn 2025, le CICR a pris en charge 1 216 bless\u00e9s par arme dans trois structures hospitali\u00e8res, dont l\u2019H\u00f4pital provincial g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence de Bukavu et les h\u00f4pitaux g\u00e9n\u00e9raux d\u2019Uvira et de Fizi. Depuis le d\u00e9but de l\u2019ann\u00e9e 2026, 541 patients ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 trait\u00e9s. Par ailleurs, une assistance financi\u00e8re a b\u00e9n\u00e9fici\u00e9 \u00e0 3 200 m\u00e9nages sur l\u2019axe Borembo-Namisha, dans le territoire de Fizi, en faveur des familles d\u00e9plac\u00e9es et des communaut\u00e9s d\u2019accueil.<\/p>\n
Les m\u00e9dias, un relais essentiel de l\u2019information<\/strong><\/p>\nLors de cette rencontre avec la presse, Wendy Fleury a insist\u00e9 sur l\u2019importance des journalistes pour transmettre des informations fiables. \u00ab\u202fL\u2019id\u00e9e \u00e9tait de r\u00e9unir les journalistes parce que vous avez un r\u00f4le essentiel pour diffuser l\u2019information, surtout dans des p\u00e9riodes o\u00f9 la d\u00e9sinformation peut circuler\u202f\u00bb, a-t-elle expliqu\u00e9. Elle a rappel\u00e9 qu\u2019une information pr\u00e9cise et v\u00e9rifi\u00e9e contribue \u00e0 r\u00e9duire les impacts des conflits sur les populations et \u00e0 renforcer la r\u00e9silience des communaut\u00e9s.<\/p>\n
\u00c0 travers ce bilan et cet appel aux m\u00e9dias, le CICR r\u00e9affirme que la solidarit\u00e9 humanitaire et la diffusion d\u2019informations exactes sont indispensables pour r\u00e9pondre aux d\u00e9fis pos\u00e9s par les conflits dans la r\u00e9gion<\/p>\n
