Selon les informations recueillies sur place, l\u2019embarcation effectuait une liaison r\u00e9guli\u00e8re entre Ubundu, une localit\u00e9 de la province de la Tshopo, et Kisangani, principal centre d&#8217;approvisionnement du Maniema.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Cette baleini\u00e8re, qui transportait plusieurs f\u00fbts de carburant et divers produits destin\u00e9s \u00e0 approvisionner le march\u00e9 local, a pris feu au moment du d\u00e9chargement. Les raisons de cet incendie ne sont pas encore claires&#8221;, a rapport\u00e9 l\u2019un des membres de l\u2019\u00e9quipage, pr\u00e9sent lors de l\u2019incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L&#8217;incendie a ravag\u00e9 toute la structure de la baleini\u00e8re, et les commer\u00e7ants et passagers pr\u00e9sents \u00e0 bord ont \u00e9chapp\u00e9 de justesse aux flammes. Aucune victime n\u2019a \u00e9t\u00e9 signal\u00e9e, bien que les d\u00e9g\u00e2ts mat\u00e9riels soient consid\u00e9rables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les autorit\u00e9s locales ont ouvert une enqu\u00eate pour d\u00e9terminer les causes exactes du sinistre. Selon le commandant des services anti-incendie de la province, Joseph Malu, &#8220;les enqu\u00eates sont en cours pour \u00e9tablir les circonstances pr\u00e9cises de cet incident. Nous avons d\u00e9p\u00each\u00e9 des \u00e9quipes sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9es sur place pour recueillir des indices et pr\u00e9venir de futurs accidents similaires.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les autorit\u00e9s appellent \u00e0 la vigilance et soulignent l\u2019importance de renforcer les mesures de s\u00e9curit\u00e9, notamment sur les embarcations utilis\u00e9es pour le transport des marchandises et des passagers sur le fleuve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cet incident met en lumi\u00e8re les d\u00e9fis rencontr\u00e9s dans la gestion du transport fluvial, souvent confront\u00e9 \u00e0 des conditions de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 pr\u00e9caires et des risques accrus, en particulier avec la surcharge de certaines embarcations et l&#8217;absence de contr\u00f4le rigoureux des conditions de transport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le Maniema, une province riche en ressources naturelles, est fortement d\u00e9pendant des \u00e9changes commerciaux fluviaux pour son approvisionnement en produits essentiels.
