Envoy\u00e9 sp\u00e9cial de l\u2019Union europ\u00e9enne pour la r\u00e9gion des Grands Lacs, Johan Borgstam s\u2019inqui\u00e8te de la situation dans l\u2019est de la R\u00e9publique d\u00e9mocratique du Congo (RDC).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il a achev\u00e9, ce mercredi 5 novembre 2025, une visite de plusieurs jours dans le pays de Lumumba, o\u00f9 il constate un d\u00e9calage entre les initiatives diplomatiques et la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 sur le terrain des combats, particuli\u00e8rement dans la partie orientale du pays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Insistant sur la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 d\u2019un cessez-le-feu, ce diplomate europ\u00e9en estime que, malgr\u00e9 la complexit\u00e9 de la situation, l\u2019Union europ\u00e9enne r\u00e9affirme son soutien aux processus de Washington et de Doha, tout en soulignant l\u2019importance de l\u2019implication du m\u00e9diateur de l\u2019Union africaine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Selon lui, l\u2019Union europ\u00e9enne a exhort\u00e9 toutes les parties impliqu\u00e9es dans le conflit \u00e0 autoriser l\u2019ouverture d\u2019un couloir humanitaire, incluant la reprise des vols humanitaires vers les zones affect\u00e9es.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
