Un incendie survenu dans la nuit du mercredi \u00e0 jeudi 25 septembre a ravag\u00e9 une maison dans le quartier Kilibula, commune de Kalundu, provoquant la mort d\u2019un enfant de 11 ans et d\u2019importants d\u00e9g\u00e2ts mat\u00e9riels. Le drame s\u2019est produit aux environs de 00h10, selon une source locale.<\/strong>

L\u2019enfant, H\u00e9ritier Tambwe, n\u2019a pas surv\u00e9cu aux flammes. Son p\u00e8re, militaire au sein des Forces arm\u00e9es de la R\u00e9publique d\u00e9mocratique du Congo (FARDC), a \u00e9t\u00e9 gri\u00e8vement bless\u00e9 mais sauv\u00e9 de justesse gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l\u2019intervention rapide des voisins. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9vacu\u00e9 d\u2019urgence au Centre de Sant\u00e9 Ishara Za Mungu, situ\u00e9 non loin du lieu du sinistre.

\u00ab Ce drame nous rappelle, une fois de plus, l\u2019urgence pour nos autorit\u00e9s urbaines de doter nos quartiers d\u2019\u00e9quipements de lutte contre les incendies. Trop de vies sont encore sacrifi\u00e9es par manque de moyens. \u00bb

Le mouvement citoyen exhorte les autorit\u00e9s \u00e0 \u00ab prendre des mesures concr\u00e8tes \u00bb afin de pr\u00e9venir de telles trag\u00e9dies \u00e0 l\u2019avenir, notamment par l\u2019acquisition de mat\u00e9riel anti-incendie et la mise en place de brigades d\u2019intervention d\u2019urgence.

Selon les t\u00e9moins, l\u2019incendie se serait d\u00e9clar\u00e9 subitement alors que toute la famille dormait. L\u2019origine du feu reste \u00e0 d\u00e9terminer par les services comp\u00e9tents.

L\u2019absence d\u2019un service de secours structur\u00e9 dans la commune de Kalundu a souvent \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9nonc\u00e9e par les organisations locales. Ce nouvel incident vient relancer le d\u00e9bat sur les capacit\u00e9s de r\u00e9ponse face aux catastrophes domestiques dans cette partie du Sud-Kivu.
