Cette d\u00e9cision marque une \u00e9tape importante dans la redynamisation de la diplomatie congolaise en Afrique australe.<\/p>\n<p>La nomination intervient quelques mois apr\u00e8s son rappel de Nairobi, o\u00f9 il occupait les fonctions d\u2019ambassadeur de la RDC au Kenya jusqu\u2019en d\u00e9cembre 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Diplomate chevronn\u00e9, John Nyakeru Kalunga est un ancien chef de division au minist\u00e8re des Affaires \u00e9trang\u00e8res et a \u00e9galement exerc\u00e9 comme chef du Protocole \u00e0 la pr\u00e9sidence de la R\u00e9publique, un poste strat\u00e9gique au c\u0153ur de la diplomatie pr\u00e9sidentielle.<\/p>\n<p>Selon plusieurs observateurs, cette d\u00e9signation s\u2019inscrit dans une logique de consolidation des relations entre Kinshasa et Pretoria.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab <em>Le choix de John Nyakeru traduit la volont\u00e9 du pr\u00e9sident Tshisekedi de confier cette mission \u00e0 un homme de confiance et d\u2019exp\u00e9rience, dans une r\u00e9gion strat\u00e9gique pour la RDC<\/em> \u00bb, estime un analyste proche du dossier.<\/p>\n<p>Par ailleurs, la proximit\u00e9 familiale entre le nouvel ambassadeur et la Premi\u00e8re dame, Denise Nyakeru, n\u2019est pas pass\u00e9e inaper\u00e7ue.
