Dans une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 o\u00f9 les m\u00e9tiers artistiques sont souvent per\u00e7us comme r\u00e9serv\u00e9s aux hommes, Foybe Kokola Malisawa, une jeune femme de 23 ans, d\u00e9fie les st\u00e9r\u00e9otypes en gagnant sa vie gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la peinture. R\u00e9sidant au quartier Matonge, dans la commune de Mulekera, elle s\u2019est impos\u00e9e comme une figure inspirante dans le paysage artistique de la ville cosmopolite de Beni.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Abandonn\u00e9e par le p\u00e8re de ses deux enfants, Foybe n\u2019a pas baiss\u00e9 les bras. Elle a transform\u00e9 sa passion en une v\u00e9ritable source de revenus. “Mes revenus sont tr\u00e8s variables et d\u00e9pendent de nombreux facteurs comme mon talent, la demande, et ma capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 faire conna\u00eetre mon travail”, explique-t-elle. “Au d\u00e9but, je peignais en dilettante, mais les r\u00e9alit\u00e9s de la vie m’ont appris \u00e0 prendre les choses en main. Aujourd\u2019hui, je me d\u00e9brouille au quotidien.”<\/p>\r\n

Un talent qui embellit la ville<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n

Sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9e dans la peinture \u00e0 l\u2019huile et \u00e0 l\u2019eau, Foybe Kokola intervient dans diff\u00e9rents lieux : habitations, \u00e9coles, boutiques, \u00e9glises\u2026 Son travail est appr\u00e9ci\u00e9 pour sa qualit\u00e9 et son sens esth\u00e9tique. Dans un contexte souvent marqu\u00e9 par l\u2019ins\u00e9curit\u00e9, son parcours redonne une image plus positive de Beni, ville souvent associ\u00e9e \u00e0 la violence.<\/p>\r\n

Encadr\u00e9e par Bienfaits Kasereka, peintre exp\u00e9riment\u00e9 et reconnu dans l\u2019Est de la RDC, Foybe ne manque pas de commandes. “Je suis sollicit\u00e9e presque tous les jours pour des travaux de peinture”, confie-t-elle. Cependant, ce m\u00e9tier n\u2019est pas sans d\u00e9fis.<\/p>\r\n

Des d\u00e9fis persistants dans un m\u00e9tier domin\u00e9 par les hommes<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n

Outre les contraintes techniques du m\u00e9tier, la jeune artiste fait face \u00e0 des comportements d\u00e9plac\u00e9s de la part de certains clients. “Ma renomm\u00e9e m\u2019attire parfois des ennuis. Certains hommes inconscients tentent des avances ou exercent des pressions inappropri\u00e9es. Ce n\u2019est pas facile de r\u00e9sister, mais je reste concentr\u00e9e sur mes objectifs et j\u2019\u00e9vite les situations destructrices”, affirme-t-elle avec courage.<\/p>\r\n

Un h\u00e9ritage familial et une mission d\u2019\u00e9mancipation<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n

Fille d\u2019un peintre, Foybe a grandi dans un environnement artistique. “D\u00e9j\u00e0 toute petite, je savais manipuler un pinceau gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 mon p\u00e8re”, raconte-t-elle. Elle encourage d\u2019autres jeunes filles \u00e0 s\u2019engager dans les m\u00e9tiers artisanaux pour acqu\u00e9rir une autonomie financi\u00e8re et \u00e9chapper aux humiliations souvent impos\u00e9es par certains hommes.<\/p>\r\n

“Je veux montrer qu\u2019on peut r\u00e9ussir sans d\u00e9pendre de qui que ce soit. Les filles doivent croire en leur potentiel et oser prendre leur destin en main”, insiste-t-elle.<\/p>\r\n

Aujourd\u2019hui, plusieurs centres de formation professionnelle existent dans la ville et le territoire de Beni, contribuant \u00e0 la transformation positive de la communaut\u00e9 locale. Des initiatives qui, comme le parcours de Foybe Kokola Malisawa, offrent des alternatives concr\u00e8tes \u00e0 la pauvret\u00e9 et au d\u00e9couragement des jeunes.<\/p>\r\n
