Le joueur, qui \u00e9voluait au sein du club Rayon Sports, a \u00e9t\u00e9 suspendu six mois par la F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Rwandaise de Football Association (FERWAFA) pour avoir c\u00e9l\u00e9br\u00e9 un but en mimant un silence impos\u00e9<\/strong>.<br><br>Le 11 f\u00e9vrier dernier, lors d&#8217;un match de championnat contre Police FC, Luvumbu a marqu\u00e9 un but et a c\u00e9l\u00e9br\u00e9 en portant sa main sur sa bouche et un doigt sur sa tempe. Ce geste, interpr\u00e9t\u00e9 comme une d\u00e9nonciation des massacres perp\u00e9tr\u00e9s dans l&#8217;Est de la RDC par des rebelles soutenus par le Rwanda, a provoqu\u00e9 la col\u00e8re des autorit\u00e9s rwandaises.<br><br>Le club de Rayon Sports a r\u00e9sili\u00e9 le contrat de Luvumbu le 13 f\u00e9vrier, estimant que son geste \u00e9tait &#8220;une violation flagrante du code de conduite et des valeurs du club&#8221;. La FERWAFA a ensuite confirm\u00e9 la suspension du joueur pour six mois, l&#8217;accusant de &#8220;manque de respect envers les autorit\u00e9s et le peuple rwandais&#8221;.<br><br>L&#8217;arriv\u00e9e de Luvumbu \u00e0 Kinshasa a \u00e9t\u00e9 salu\u00e9e par ses fans et certains membres de la classe politique congolaise. Le ministre des Sports et Loisirs, Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Claude Kabulo Mwana Kabulo, \u00e9tait pr\u00e9sent \u00e0 l&#8217;a\u00e9roport pour l&#8217;accueillir.<br><br>La situation d&#8217;H\u00e9ritier Luvumbu est loin d&#8217;\u00eatre termin\u00e9e. Le joueur a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 son intention de contester la d\u00e9cision de la FERWAFA devant le Tribunal Arbitral du Sport (TAS).
