pas \u00e9t\u00e9 prouv\u00e9e<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Le groupe pharmaceutique anglo-su\u00e9dois AstraZeneca a annonc\u00e9 mardi avoir subi un revers dans le d\u00e9veloppement d\u2019un traitement contre&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lunion.fr\/120726\/free-tags\/coronavirus\">le coronavirus<\/a>, dont l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 sur les personnes expos\u00e9es au virus n\u2019a pas \u00e9t\u00e9 prouv\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il s\u2019agit&nbsp;<strong>d\u2019un traitement par anticorps, dont le nom de code est AZD7442 et qui doit permettre \u00e0 la fois de pr\u00e9venir et de traiter la maladie.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u00abL\u2019essai n\u2019a pas atteint le but principal de pr\u00e9venir les cas de Covid-19 symptomatiques apr\u00e8s exposition\u00bb\u00a0<\/em>au virus, a expliqu\u00e9 AstraZeneca dans un communiqu\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Des essais se poursuivent<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Le traitement \u00e9tait en phase 3 de d\u00e9veloppement, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire en essais cliniques de grande ampleur afin de mesurer sa s\u00fbret\u00e9 et son efficacit\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les 1121 participants \u00e9taient des adultes de plus de 18 ans qui n\u2019\u00e9taient pas vaccin\u00e9s et qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 expos\u00e9s \u00e0 une personne contamin\u00e9e au cours des huit jours pr\u00e9c\u00e9dents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Le traitement n\u2019a permis de r\u00e9duire le risque de d\u00e9velopper un Covid-19 avec sympt\u00f4mes que de 33%.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Des essais se poursuivent pour \u00e9valuer le rem\u00e8de sur des patients avant exposition au virus, et pour ceux qui ont d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 des formes s\u00e9v\u00e8res.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le d\u00e9veloppement de ce traitement est financ\u00e9 par le gouvernement am\u00e9ricain, qui en retour avait conclu des accords avec AstraZeneca pour recevoir jusqu\u2019\u00e0 700000 doses cette ann\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Au total, la valeur des accords avec les Etats-Unis pour le d\u00e9veloppement du traitement et les doses en 2021 atteint 726 millions de dollars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dans son communiqu\u00e9, AstraZeneca indique que des discussions sont en cours&nbsp;<em>\u00abconcernant les prochaines \u00e9tapes avec le gouvernement am\u00e9ricain\u00bb.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Des interrogations sur son vaccin contre le Covid-19<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>AstraZeneca est par ailleurs toujours confront\u00e9 \u00e0 des interrogations sur son&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lunion.fr\/124273\/free-tags\/vaccin-covid-19\">vaccin<\/a>&nbsp;contre le Covid-19, suspendu par plusieurs pays europ\u00e9ens apr\u00e8s de rares probl\u00e8mes sanguins chez des personnes vaccin\u00e9es.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Un haut responsable de l\u2019Agence europ\u00e9enne des m\u00e9dicaments (EMA) est m\u00eame all\u00e9 jusqu\u2019\u00e0 estimer qu\u2019il serait pr\u00e9f\u00e9rable d\u2019arr\u00eater le vaccin d\u2019AstraZeneca contre le Covid-19\u00a0pour toutes les tranches d\u2019\u00e2ge, y compris pour les plus de 60 ans, quand des alternatives sont disponibles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mais l\u2019EMA a d\u00e9menti et expliqu\u00e9 mardi que les propos de Marco Cavaleri dans le journal La Stampa dimanche avaient \u00e9t\u00e9 mal interpr\u00e9t\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u00abIl est clair que le rapport b\u00e9n\u00e9fices-risques pour les individus de plus de 60 ans est m\u00eame meilleur\u00bb,<\/em>&nbsp;selon une porte-parole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dans le m\u00eame temps, une \u00e9tude publi\u00e9e lundi par les autorit\u00e9s sanitaires britanniques a r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 que deux doses des vaccins Pfizer\/BioNTech ou AstraZeneca\/Oxford prot\u00e8gent \u00e0 plus de 90% contre les hospitalisations apr\u00e8s avoir contract\u00e9 le variant Delta du coronavirus, initialement apparu en
