Une campagne de vaccination contre le chol\u00e9ra par voie orale d\u00e9butera \u00e0 Kasindi lundi 1er juin prochain, elle sera men\u00e9e par le minist\u00e8re de la sant\u00e9 publique de la R\u00e9publique D\u00e9mocratique du Congo avec le soutien financier de l’Organisation mondiale de la Sant\u00e9 (OMS) et d’autres partenaires dont l’Unicef. Pour atteindre toute la cible, la strat\u00e9gie arr\u00eat\u00e9e est celle de porte \u00e0 porte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L’aire de sant\u00e9 cibl\u00e9 par cette campagne r\u00e9active contre le chol\u00e9ra est confront\u00e9 au probl\u00e8me d\u2019acc\u00e8s ad\u00e9quat \u00e0 l\u2019eau potable avec un syst\u00e8me d’assainissement peu reluisant, ce qui expose gravement les habitants au chol\u00e9ra et \u00e0 d\u2019autres maladies d’origine hydrique. Les personnes concern\u00e9es sont de z\u00e9ro \u00e0 l’\u00e2ge adulte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ces activit\u00e9s de vaccination de cinq jours (du 01er au 05 juin 2020), interviennent apr\u00e8s la distribution de la premi\u00e8re dose en mars dernier, activit\u00e9s qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 financ\u00e9es par Gavi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cette campagne pour administrer la deuxi\u00e8me dose de vaccin contre le chol\u00e9ra fournira ainsi une protection immunitaire compl\u00e8te contre le chol\u00e9ra, devenu end\u00e9mique dans la zone de sant\u00e9 de Mutwanga, o\u00f9 des flamb\u00e9es \u00e9pid\u00e9miques se sont produites r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement au cours des cinq derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
